High Intensity Interval Training and Six Pack Abs Journey

My husband Jonas joined me for the first time for a workout. We had so much fun together. It was kinda weird bonding for the first time in this way but overall a great experience. He has decided to join me in a commitment for 2009 to get fit/healthy and get sexy six pack abs. I am very happy to have an exercise partner.

You see since starting low carb cooking I personally have been able to lose 23lbs. But since my cooking was high fat my husband has gained 20lbs. He is not restricting his carbs so the extra fat is adding to extra pounds around his waist. He does love my food that I cook!

When we met in college he was doing weight training but nothing like High Intensity Interval Training. Back then he had six pack abs so it will be no time till he gets them back. Our goal will be a sixteen week challenge. On April 25th we will show his before and after pictures (he is a bit shy about them). I will post mine as soon as I get them done.

Benefits of Exercising with a Partner

  • It is motivating and encouraging.
  • It holds both participants accountable.
  • You can spot problems with exercise form.
  • It is more fun (the more fun it is the better chance you are going to stick with it).
  • It pushes you harder because it creates a slightly competitive mood.

Posting this publicly encourages accountability. I am excited for the results. I welcome everyone to join in this six pack abs journey. I will be adding some exercise videos of exercises that we have been doing.

Many Blessings,

[Fit Chic Fatloss Challenge] Fit Chic Fatloss Challenge

I am excited to announce that after 2 months on the Atkins Diet I have reached my pre-baby weight of 120lbs. That is a total loss 14 lbs. I did not do an induction phase or count carbs. I just eliminated sugar, grains and sweet fruit out of my diet and used no artificial sweetners. I did this not to lose weight but to gain control of a systemic candida problem. But I sure am enjoying the weight loss!

After getting back to my pre-baby weight I am noticing that I do not look like I did before pregnancy. I still have the biggest problem area of a postpartum “mommy belly”. I would love to get some lean and toned muscles. I have watched Angie Tousignant go through the Fit Chic Year of Workouts and seen her transformation and would love to have the same results as her. She is a mom of 2 small kids and was able to get six pack abs – even after a c-section. I have never had six pack abs, so I am going to challenge myself to achieve this!

I know that the hardest part of fatloss is overcoming the “stinking thinking” and getting motivated to actually do the workouts. You can have the best workout program in the world but if you don’t use it then it won’t work for you. To get over this problem I will be listening to the Unstoppable Fatloss Audios and joining the Unstoppable Fatloss Support Community.

I will go through all the material in the Fit Chic Fatloss program and post my before picture and my measurements in the next few days. I am excited to start on this challenge! If you would like to join me in the 6 pack ab challenge let me know by commenting below and check out the Fit Chic Fatloss Program!

Warmly,

Catherine
